Executive Committee

The Executive Committee shall manage the organisation. Each member may nominate one representative to the Executive Committee although meetings shall be open to all representatives of members.

All members shall receive at least one week’s notice of any Executive Committee meeting.

The Executive Committee seeks to act by consensus. However, if consensus is not achieved, decisions may be taken by a majority of two-thirds of those present at a meeting representing at least half of the members. The Executive Committee may delegate powers to individuals and sub-groups as it sees fit.

Chair and Vice-Chair

The Executive Committee shall elect from amongst its members a Chair. The Chair shall exercise all powers of the Executive Committee between meetings and shall report their activities at each meeting. The Chair shall serve for a renewable term of one year unless they earlier resign or are removed by the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee may appoint one or more Vice Chairs to support the Chair and may delegate such powers to them as it sees fit. Any Vice Chair shall serve for a renewable term of one year unless they earlier resign or are removed by the Executive Committee. The Chair serves as the Spokesperson, and face of the association. He is the contact person for all formal requests, represents the Association in Industry functions and has regular contact with the Secretariat. He promotes the agreed key messages of the Association. The Vice-Chair replaces the Chair if needed. He is particularly on top of Policy issues and chairs the working groups.

In December 2016, the Chair and Vice-Chair have been elected by the Executive Committee for a 1-year period.

Public Positions

MVNO Europe shall not take any public position if more than two members object. Any member shall have the right to be disassociated from any public position that it objects to by requesting this before the position is taken.

Fee

An annual fee shall be payable by all members of the MVNO Europe in advance. The level of the fee shall be set by the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee may choose to apply different fee levels to different categories of members. In the event of any member leaving the association during the year no repayment shall be due.

Membership

Any MVNO may apply to join as well as organisations which are willing to support MVNO Europe’s. New organisations can be asked to pay an entrance fee and shall be admitted if their application is supported by two thirds of the existing members.
